This page covers HomeGrade Services and every page we run on go.homegradeservices.com, which is where our advertising sends homeowners. If you filled in a project form after clicking one of our ads, this describes what happens to what you entered.
Who we are
HomeGrade Services advertises for home improvement projects and passes each project to an independent local contractor who carries out the work. We work in Ontario, Canada and the Carolinas, United States.
Use the contact form to reach us about anything on this page, including a request to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Say in your message that it is a privacy request and we will treat it as one.
What we collect
When you submit a project enquiry, we collect what you type into the form:
- your name;
- your phone number and, if you give one, your email address;
- the address or area where the work would happen;
- what the project is and any detail you add about it.
Alongside that, we record which trade and city the page was for, which advertisement brought you there, and a reference number for your enquiry. We also use standard website and advertising measurement tools, described below.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or any health or financial information. Please do not send them to us.
What we do with it
- We contact you. By phone, text message and email, to confirm the details of your project. The form tells you this before you submit it and asks you to agree to it.
- We pass your project to one local contractor. An independent company working in your trade and your area. They receive your name, contact details, location and project description so they can quote the work. From that point, they are the ones you are dealing with, and their own privacy practices apply to what you share with them.
- We measure our own advertising. So we know which advertisements produce real projects and which do not.
We do not sell your information. We do not pass it to multiple contractors to bid against each other, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.
Automated calls and messages
Our first follow-up call may be placed by an automated system, and it will say so. A person is available at any point in that conversation and you can ask for one. Text messages are used for confirmations and scheduling. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or tell us on a call.
Cookies and measurement
Our advertising pages use the Meta pixel and equivalent measurement tools so we can see which advertisements led to enquiries. These place cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. You can block or clear them in your browser settings; the pages still work. This site, homegradeservices.com, carries no advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we are working with the contractor market they came from, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our own accounting and dispute records. Ask us to delete yours and we will, except where we are required to keep a record.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct it, and we will.
- Ask us to delete it, and we will, subject to the note above.
- Ask us to stop contacting you, and we will stop.
Use the contact form for any of these. You can also tell us on a call or reply to any text message we send you. We answer in plain language.
Children
Our services are for homeowners and property owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
